National Historic Speed Club

A new National Speed event for Pre ’77 cars

One championship, two champions! One based on scratch results and the other a handicap based on Personal Best times.

12 rounds (8 hill climbs and 4 sprints) with the 8 best results to count, 2 of which must be sprints.

RS Interclub licence and above

Run to Motorsport UK Period A-H regulations (Saloons and Sportscars), Sports and single seat racecars to conform to period regulations.

Saloons and Sportscars to be road going with classes according to normal engine capacity criteria. Tyres to be any road legal.

Sportscars and Racecars should not use slicks. There will be a separate Formula Ford class run to the Formula Ford “Kent” regulations.

Planned rounds at Aintree, Harewood, Loton Park, Prescott, Snetterton, Lydden Hill, Gurston Down, Goodwood, Wiscombe and Mallory Park.

The geographical spread is intended to create a truly National (English) championship.

Low cost championship entry fee and club membership

The championship will work closely with venues by providing detailed commentator packs.

The championship will work to raise its profile with spectators through prominent signage in the paddock, information boards and giveaways for young enthusiasts.
